Koffee With Karan Season 8: Kareena Kapoor, who tied the knot with Saif Ali Khan more than a decade ago, addressed the prospect of playing Sara Ali Khan's on-screen mother during an episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8. When quizzed about the possibility by host Karan Johar in the rapid-fire round, Kareena asserted that she is versatile enough to portray characters of all ages.

Kareena Kapoor Khan on playing Sara's mother

During a rapid-fire round on Koffee With Karan Season 8, host Karan Johar inquired of Kareena Kapoor, "If you were asked to play Sara's mother in a film, would you?" Kareena responded confidently, stating, "I think I'm an actor and I can play all ages. So you never know. If it is a good part." When probed further by Karan, asking if she's open to it, Kareena replied, "I am open to anything that's acting."

How are Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sara Ali Khan related?

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan tied the knot in October 2012 after five years of cohabitation. Saif was previously married to actor Amrita Singh, with whom he ended the marriage in 2004. From his first marriage, Saif and Amrita share two children – actor Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, who served as an assistant director on Karan Johar's recent film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Together, Saif and Kareena are parents to two sons – Taimur Ali Khan, born in 2016, and Jehangir Ali Khan, also known as Jeh, born in 2021.

Kareena Kapoor's Work Front

Kareena Kapoor recently made her OTT debut with 'Jaane Jaan,' a Sujoy Ghosh directorial that adapts the Japanese novel 'Devotion of Suspect X.' Released on Netflix on September 21, the film also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Additionally, Kareena appeared in director Hansal Mehta's project, 'The Buckingham Murders.'

Looking ahead, Kareena is gearing up for 'The Crew,' where she will be seen sharing the screen with Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 22, 2024.
