Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: Lie Detector Tests Begin
Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: In the case of the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, lie detector tests have begun for the main suspect, Sanjay Roy, and six other individuals. The tests started on Saturday, as reported by officials.
Testing Locations and Participants
Sanjay Roy, who is the primary suspect, will undergo the polygraph test while he remains in prison. The other six people being tested include Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of the college, four doctors who were on duty that night, and a civil volunteer. These tests will be conducted at the agency’s office.
Forensic Team from Delhi Arrives
A group of polygraph experts from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Delhi has arrived in Kolkata to carry out these tests.
Cover-Up Attempt Revealed
On Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told the Supreme Court that there had been an attempt to cover up the crime. They revealed that the local police had altered the crime scene before the CBI took over the investigation.

Protests and Investigation Details
The rape and murder of the junior doctor, whose body was found with severe injuries in a seminar hall on August 9, have sparked widespread protests. Sanjay Roy was arrested the next day. The Calcutta High Court transferred the investigation to the CBI on August 13, and the federal agency started its probe the following day.
