Major Drug Bust: Punjab Police nabs 2 in Ferozepur, 12 kg of Heroin seized
Punjab: In a big blow to the trans-border narcotic network, in an intelligence-led operation, CI (counter-intelligence) Ferozepur, recovered 12 kgs of heroin and apprehended 2 people.

FIR under NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) has been registered and an investigation is ongoing to establish backward and forward links, as per the information by the Punjab police.
"Punjab Police is committed to making Punjab drug-free as per the vision of CM Bhagwant Mann", DGP Punjab Police posted on X.
Earlier this month, the BSF foiled another drug haul and foiled a trans-border smuggling attempt by Pakistan. The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered yet another Pakistani drone with one packet suspected to be heroin from a paddy field on the outskirts of Dhaone Khurd village in Amritsar.
In September, The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a drone and a bottle containing heroin from the paddy fields near the Rajatal village in Amritsar. The heroin weighed 0.545 Kg.
