Malavika Mohanan on Working with Siddhant Chaturvedi in 'Yudhra': 'A Whole Different World'

Malavika Mohanan is all set to surprise her fans with a new avatar in the upcoming movie Yudhra, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi. In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Malavika shared her excitement about the film, describing it as an action-packed romantic drama that is vastly different from her recent release, Thangalaan.

She mentioned, “The film I have done with Siddhant Chaturvedi is produced by Excel Entertainment, and it’s releasing next month. The trailer will be out in a few days. Compared to Thangalaan, it is a whole different world. It’s exciting for me as an actor to be part of such versatile films. I hope more filmmakers see how I fit into different roles.”

Malavika's Upcoming Projects

Apart from Yudhra, Malavika has another exciting project, The Raja Saab, in the pipeline. This film, starring Prabhas, marks her Telugu debut. While she didn’t reveal much, she hinted, “It is a horror romantic film. It will be out next summer.”

Success of 'Thangalaan'

Malavika is currently basking in the success of Thangalaan, a film set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) and featuring Vikram in a never-seen-before look. Directed by Ranjith, Thangalaan has been well-received by audiences, grossing over Rs 100 crore in South India alone. The film is slated for a Hindi release across North India on September 6.

Director Pa Ranjith also expressed his joy over the film's success, stating, “We received a lot of appreciation, and people connected with the world we created. It’s being appreciated not only in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh but in other states as well. The discussions around the film continue even today on social media.”

With her upcoming films, Malavika Mohanan is set to showcase her versatility and continue making waves in the industry.
