Monkeypox virus in India: A suspected Mpox patient has been found in India, He has been isolated and hospitalized as a precaution. His data is being examined to confirm the case. While the Union Ministry of Health said that the sick patient travels to countries where Mpox is spreading rapidly.

In the meanwhile, health Ministry said that the affected person has been traveled to countries where this virus cases are increasing, while the patient has kept aloof. The case of this  Mpox is spreading rapidly in the world. After Africa, this virus is also spreading its feet in European countries, about which the World Health Organization has issued warning.

The ministry said that the affected patients have been hospitalized and their condition remains stable. It is spreading rapidly in African children. This is increasing concern about airborne transmission. Outside Africa monkeypox has also been found in Sweden and Norway, where one case has been reported so far. After this, monkeypox was declared a global health threat by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Monkeypox not spread through air

Amid the global monkeypox outbreak, a report from the US CDC has revealed that unlike COVID-19, the monkeypox virus is not easily spread through the air. The CDC's latest 'Morbidity and Mortality' weekly report included 113 people with MPOX in a study of 221 Massachusetts flights during 2021-22. The study found that none of the 1,046 passengers were infected. After the US Department of Public Health contacted 1,046 passengers,. However the CDC  said that people with MPOX infection should be screened separately and should delay travel.
