MV Ganga Cruise: Luxury will float on valleys of river Ganga

<p>MV Ganga Cruise is all set to be launched on 13th January<br /> by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ship will sail over 27 river systems in<br /> India including many tourist spots and National parks. Built with marvelous<br /> design and long-lasting vision, the cruise will sail across various prominent<br /> destinations that live along Kolkata&#8217;s river Hooghly to Varanasi&#8217;s river Ganga.</p> <p>The luxurious cruise has 3 decks with 18 suites.<br /> The suites have all the luxurious amenities so that one gets the feel of ultra<br /> comfort. This will cost 25000 rupees per person for a day. The journey will<br /> cover various historical, cultural, and religious sites including Ganga aarti<br /> in Varanasi. The cruise will reach its final destination
Dibrugarh after completing the distance of approximately 3,200 km which will
take up to 51 days.

The very first 36 passengers are from Switzerland.
Fourteen of them will board it from Kolkata and the other fourteen will deboard
it.

 

Minister of Ports, Shipping
and Waterways and AYUSH Sarbananda  Sonowal said, ” Development of
cruise tourism in the country would generate many employment opportunities. The
river tourism circuits will be developed and integrated with the existing tourism
circuits for fast growth and development of this sector in the country.”

A move to develop and lead
the forward tourism sector in India, the MV Ganga cruise is a very crucial and
unique move taken up by the Indian Government.
