Myanmar Earthquake: A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, causing massive destruction. Over 1,000 people lost their lives, and more than 1,600 were injured. Rescue Teams Work Nonstop

Rescue workers in Mandalay have been searching for survivors under the rubble, using their hands due to a lack of proper equipment. Hospitals in the worst-affected areas are overwhelmed, with some treating patients outdoors. The government has declared a state of emergency in six regions.

Urgent Need for Blood Donations

The Myanmar government has appealed for blood donations to help injured victims. The crisis has put a strain on the country’s medical infrastructure, prompting international organizations to step in with assistance.

India & Global Community Extend Help

India has sent 15 tonnes of relief materials via an IAF aircraft as part of ‘Operation Brahma.’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured Myanmar’s military leader Min Aung Hlaing of India’s support during this difficult time. Other countries, including China and Russia, have also sent rescue teams, while the United Nations allocated $5 million for immediate relief efforts.
