California mass shooting- 5 dead, 6 injured, alleged shooter also deceased
The USA has experienced yet another mass shooting this year, resulting in 5 fatalities and 6 individuals currently fighting for their lives in a hospital. The tragic mass shooting occurred at a biker bar in California. The shooter is reported to be deceased, but the reasons behind the incident remain unknown.
A retired law enforcement officer is suspected of being involved in the incident, which unfolded in Orange County when he reportedly opened fire. The incident transpired at Cook's Corner, a biker bar located in Trabuco Canyon, which now has a substantial law enforcement presence.
The suspect was allegedly shot by deputies while he was armed with a handgun. However, it remains unclear if this directly caused his death.
According to the local government organization, the incident occurred around 7 AM. Deputies swiftly arrived at the scene and confronted the shooter. The deputies had received a call from Cook's Corner reporting the incident.
In response to the situation, police have issued a 'SigAlert' for the roads leading to the bar, advising individuals to avoid the area of the shooting. CBS News has reported that FBI personnel are also en route to the scene to assist local authorities in the ongoing investigation.
Media reports indicate that the suspect had served as a law enforcement officer, having joined the force in 1984 and retired in 2015.
