Maharally: Top leaders from various political parties, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thakrey, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, are set to converge at the Ramleela ground in New Delhi for a 'Maharally' organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on March 31st. This rally comes in the wake of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's recent arrest.

Gopal Rai, a senior leader of AAP, announced on Friday that the party has obtained the necessary permissions for the rally, expected to draw a crowd of over 20,000 people. Rai also mentioned the possibility of Sunita Kejriwal, Arvind Kejriwal's wife, addressing the rally, although a final decision on this matter is yet to be made.

In addition to the aforementioned leaders, prominent figures from the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), such as Derek O'Brian, Trichi Siva, Farooq Abdullah, and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, will also be in attendance. Notably, Kalpana Soren, the spouse of former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, who is presently incarcerated, is expected to join the rally as well.

Aam Aadmi Party has been staging protest against the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The Enforcement Directorate arrested Arvind Kejriwal on March 21 to investigate him in the Delhi Liquor Police Scam Case. Arvind Kejriwal earlier ignored 9 summons by ED after which the directorate had to arrest him. He was sent in 6 day Ed custody earlier till March 28 and his custody was extended till April 1.

Aam Aadmi Party has been calling the arrest by ED as the misuse of the agency by the ruling government calling the grounds of arrest were invalid.  AAP recently gave the remarks that ED should have completed the investigation before arresting the Chief Minister.  Arvind Kejriwal also commented on his arrest calling it a political conspiracy against him. AAP has been calling the arrest as a move by the Modi government to Prevent Kejriwal from campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections.
