16 days, 1300 KM... Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is starting his 16-day and about 1,300 km long 'Voter Rights Yatra' from Sasaram in Bihar today, August 17. The opposition alliance INDIA Block is calling this journey a big campaign to protect the principle of 'one person, one vote' ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.

Rahul Gandhi's 'Vote Rights Yatra':

RJD chief Lalu Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav have reached Sasaram to join the 'Vote Rights Yatra' being led by Rahul Gandhi. Former CM Rabri Devi is also going to reach Sasaram.

Purnia MP  Pappu Yadav said that Rahul Gandhi has traveled 10,000 kilometers to become the voice of the people. He talks about the youth. Rahul Gandhi has set out not for the gain or loss of power, but to protect the Constitution.

There will be three break days in Rahul Gandhi's 16-day journey on August 20, August 25 and August 31.

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav will also join the start of Rahul Gandhi's Voter Rights Yatra. Lalu Yadav, who left for Sasaram from Patna by helicopter, will be accompanied by his son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

RJD leaders have taken a tough stand on the central government over Rahul Gandhi's 'Voter Rights Yatra'. Lalu Prasad Yadav reiterated that the Constitution will not be erased, the public is aware and there is hope for justice. At the same time, Tejashwi Yadav said that the BJP is misusing constitutional institutions and the right to vote is being snatched away, so this fight is necessary.

Before the start of the yatra, Tejashwi Yadav said, 'BJP people are misusing constitutional institutions. The land of Bihar is the mother of democracy. We will not sit silent. We will fight for the people. We will not let the right to vote be erased. Every Bihari should cast his vote, so we will go on the yatra. Those who are raising questions on us want to erase democracy. People's names are being deleted, so it is necessary to fight this battle.'

Congress MPs have left for Sasaram from Delhi to start the yatra. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and other senior leaders of the Grand Alliance will also participate in this. The opposition is planning to directly attack the government on the allegations of 'vote theft' through this yatra.
