Automatic bowling machine turns fatal!

According to reports, 17-year-old Ben Austin was practicing at Volley Tew Reserve in Ferntree Gully on Tuesday afternoon when the accident occurred. It is reported that Ben, who was wearing a helmet, was struck in the head and neck by a ball while facing balls from an automatic bowling machine in the nets.

Paramedics immediately arrived at the scene, and Austin was rushed to Monash Medical Centre in critical condition. Doctors tried their best to save his life, but he died on Wednesday.

Ben's father, Jess Austin, said, "We are completely devastated by the loss of our beloved Ben, who passed away on Thursday morning.
