76 years of Republic Day: Pride & glory on path of duty, India's strength from ground to the sky
India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day today. On this day the country adopted and dedicated itself to the Constitution. The main function will be held on the path of duty where President Draupadi Murmu will host the flag. The President will also take the salute of the parade of the security forces. A tableau of prosperous India will also be seen on the path of duty.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is the chief guest of India in this ceremony. Apart from him, President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and many other dignitaries will be present in this ceremony.
Thousands of citizens will also witness the parade, tableau and cultural programs on the Kartavya Path.
The main attraction of the ceremony will be the 'fly-past', in which a spectacular display of Indian Air Force aircraft will be seen. The display of India's air power will thrill the audience. A unique confluence of the country's rich cultural heritage and advanced military technical capabilities will be presented which symbolizes the power and integrity of the nation. The parade will start at 10.30 am today on the Kartavya Path. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will be part of the ceremony.
PM Modi will pay tribute to the War Memorial
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay tribute to the martyrs of the country by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial before the parade. The parade will begin with the National Salute in the morning and will continue for 90 minutes, which will reflect India's heritage and development journey. Other aircraft including C-130J Super Hercules, C-295, C-17 Globemaster, P-8I, MiG-29 and Su-30 will also be part of the celebrations.
America congratulates India on Republic Day
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated India on Republic Day. He said in his statement, "On behalf of America, I congratulate the people of India on their country's Republic Day, as they celebrate the adoption of the Constitution of India, we join them in recognizing its enduring importance as the foundation of the world's largest democracy."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the countrymen on the occasion of 76th Republic Day and wished that this national festival will preserve the values of the Constitution as well as strengthen the ongoing efforts towards building a strong and prosperous India.
In a post on the social media platform 'X', the Prime Minister said, "Many happy wishes for Republic Day! Today we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of our glorious republic. On this occasion, we salute all those great personalities who made our Constitution and ensured that our development journey is based on democracy, dignity and unity." He said, "I wish that this national festival will preserve the values of our Constitution as well as strengthen our efforts towards building a strong and prosperous India."

'Pralaya' will be included in the parade for the first time
Today, 16 tableaux from various states and union territories and 15 tableaux from central ministries, departments and organizations will be displayed. The country will showcase its military strength by showcasing some state-of-the-art defense systems including Brahmos, Pinaka and Akash. Also, the Army's combat surveillance system 'Sanjay' and Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) surface-to-surface tactical missile 'Pralaya' will be included in the parade for the first time.

Apart from this, T-90 'Bhishma' tank, Sarath (infantry carrying vehicle BMP-2), 'Short Span Bridging System' 10 meter, Nag missile system, multi barrel rocket launcher system 'Agnibaan' and 'Bajrang' (H Special vehicles of the Indian Air Force (IAF) will also be a part of the parade. Many other things will also be seen for the first time in the parade, such as the tableau of the three forces (Army, Air Force, Navy), which will show the synergy between the armed forces.
