Accident at JK Cement Factory in Panna, MP, under-construction roof collapses, 2 dead

Tragic accident has been taken place in Panna, Madhya Pradesh. The slab of the roof under construction at Simaria JK Cement Factory in Pawai here collapsed, in which many workers were buried. There are reports of 2 workers dying and many injured in the incident. However, the administration has not confirmed anything yet. Police force is present at the spot.

Rescue work is going on. Many people are still reported to be buried under the debris. The accident is being reported due to the collapse of scaffolding. In view of safety, entry inside the cement factory has been banned. Many workers were buried under the roof when it collapsed. News of some people's death is coming in. Police and administration teams are engaged in evacuating the workers trapped in the debris.

Accident at JK Cement Factory in Panna

The incident took place on Thursday morning. Roof slabs were being laid in the under-construction part of the cement factory, for which a large number of workers had gathered there. Suddenly the roof slab collapsed. Many workers were buried under the debris. There was a lot of screaming after the incident. Efforts were made to take out the workers buried under the debris in a hurry.

2 dead, many injured

After getting information about the incident local police reached on the accident spot. Meanwhile ambulances were also called on the incident place. The workers who have been pulled out of the debris are seriously injured, they have been sent to the hospital. According to information received from sources, two workers have died in the accident and more than 50 workers are injured. Administratively, no casualties and injuries have been confirmed yet. The accident is being investigated.

NDRF team called for rescue work

Despite the major incident in the JK Cement Plant located in Purana in Panna district, the administration has not yet confirmed the number of dead. JK Cement management has also not given any information on this accident. Panna SP Sai Krishna Thota said that as soon as the information of the incident was received, he reached the spot.
