Accident at Visakhapatnam's Simhachalam temple, 7 people died due to wall collapse

A big accident took place at the famous Simhachalam temple in Visakhapatnam. A cement wall collapsed in a shopping complex located on the way to the temple, killing 7 people, while many devotees were injured. Immediately after the incident, NDRF, SDRF, Fire Brigade and Police teams took charge and relief, and rescue work is going on continuously. The injured were immediately sent to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said, "I am saddened by the death of seven devotees due to wall collapse during Chandanotsav of Total Border Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this incident caused by the wall collapse due to heavy rains." He further said that I have spoken to the District Collector and SP about the situation there. I have ordered that the injured be treated. I am reviewing the situation from time to time.

best treatment. The incident occurred when devotees were moving towards the temple from Simhagiri bus stand. Amid heavy crowd, the wall-like structure built on the line with a ticket of Rs 300 suddenly collapsed. The administration has ordered an inquiry and warned of strict action against those responsible.

Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy's statement on the Simhachalam accident has also come out, he said that the government stands with the victim families, strict action will be taken against the culprits. He said that I am deeply hurt by the accident. It is extremely unfortunate that the wall collapsed due to heavy rains took away seven lives. I have deep condolences for the families of the deceased, immediate orders have been given for better treatment of the injured.

NDRF team reached the accident spot  

He said that instructions have been given to the concerned officials to start the rescue operation. Orders have been given to investigate the incident, NDRF teams and ambulances have been put into service. Collector, Home Minister Anitha and other ministers have reached the spot and are taking stock of the situation.

Anam Ramanarayana said that the state government stands strongly with the victim families and security measures will be tightened in the temple area to prevent such accidents in future.
