AAP councillors join BJP: After a crushing defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now suffered a major setback in the Municipal Corporation (MCD) as well. Three AAP leaders joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday (February 15). This seems to open the way for the BJP to gain power in the MCD as well.

In fact, the Aam Aadmi Party hardliners who joined the BJP include Antony Basoya from Andrews Ganj, Dharamvir from Greater Puram and Nikhil from Chaprana. Delhi BJP President Ahirar Sachdeva made them party councillors.

New crisis for AAP

After the crushing defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, AAP's problems have increased in the MCD as well. Many councillors were already angry with the party, now three councillors joining the BJP is a big setback for the Aam Aadmi Party. It is clear from this that the BJP's hold is getting stronger in the Municipal Corporation as well.
