As he wraps a 3-day state visit, PM Modi tells the diaspora, "India and the US together shaping lives, dreams, and destinies."

In his farewell address
to the Indian-American community at the conclusion of his three-day visit to
the United States, Prime Minister Modi stated, in the past three days,
India-U.S. relations have embarked on a new and successful path. India and the
United States are jointly influencing not only policies and contracts, but
their lives, dreams, and fortunes.

In the 21st century,
the partnership between India and the United States will improve the globe. In
his speech to the Indian diaspora at the Ronald Reagan Centre in Washington, PM
Modi stated, that you all perform a vital role in this partnership. The
greatest driver of India’s growth story is the aspirations of the Indian
people, which are similar to the American dream, said the prime minister,
adding that extreme poverty is on the decline in India, while the
middle-class and neo-middle class are rapidly expanding.”

“In order to
fulfill the aspirations of these people, India’s actions have created
enormous opportunities for the United States,” he said, referring to
India’s growing demand in the aviation industry. PM Modi said that, in order to
meet this demand, Indian airlines are placing orders for hundreds of aircraft
from American firms, leading to jobs in the United States.”

PM Modi stated that
history demonstrates that when India becomes stronger, the entire globe
benefits. In reference to the pandemic era, he stated, When the world
needed medications, India increased its production and supplied nearly 150
nations with medical supplies. India has supplied vaccines to over 100
countries.

India is currently
experiencing a digital revolution without precedent. The new face of India will
surprise you, he stated, adding that the most important factor in India’s
development is its people’s self-confidence. He said that hundreds of years of
slavery took away our confidence.

During the three days
of his official visit to the United States, a number of measures and
conclusions have been reflected and agreed upon. The decision by General
Electric to manufacture fighter jets in India will serve as an important
milestone for India’s defense industry, he said. This fresh path
(between India and the United States) is a collaboration between “Make in
India” and “Make for the world.”

It has been determined
that one will no longer be required to leave the United States in order to
renew an H1B visa. A pilot project will shortly be initiated in this regard.
This will benefit tens of thousands of IT workers in the United States, the
prime minister said, adding that it will shortly apply to L visas as well.

I am pleased that the
American government has decided to return more than one hundred stolen Indian
treasures.” These antiques had made their way to international markets. I
am grateful to the United States government for this,” he said.

Immediately following
the conclusion of the address, the Ministry of External Affairs released the
following statement: In his speech, the Prime Minister praised members of the
Indian community for their accomplishments in their respective fields in the
United States and encouraged them to make a difference to India’s development
during Amrit Kaal. The Prime Minister also praised them for their significant
contribution to the strengthening of ties between India and the United States
and outlined future areas of bilateral partnership.”

It was an honour to be
a part of the Prime Minister’s state visit this week,” Mary Millben, an
award-winning international singer who sang the Indian national song at the
commencement of the PM’s address, praised the involvement and excitement of the
audience. She said, when the audience started singing the National Anthem, it
was fantastic. The intensity of feeling in their words was overwhelming.

After an hour of
speeches and shouts of “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” the Prime Minister
declared, “I feel a mini-India gathering here.” I appreciate having
you here today. During my brief stay in the USA, I have experienced a level of
devotion and affection that has been very overwhelming.

He then stated that
he will be heading for the airport right from there, meeting everyone is like
having a sweet dish after food, before boarding a plane to Cairo for his
first state visit to Egypt.
