Asia Cup: A major update has emerged regarding Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav during the Asia Cup 2025. In fact, during both matches played between India and Pakistan, there was considerable uproar. The handshake controversy attracted everyone's attention, as Indian players refused to shake hands with the Pakistani team. During the second match, controversial gestures were seen by Pakistani players. This led to the BCCI filing a complaint with the ICC against Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf.

The Pakistan Cricket Board also filed a complaint against Suryakumar Yadav on two issues, which led to him attending a hearing today (September 25).

As a result, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav had to attend a hearing.

Surya appeared before the ICC.

Following a complaint from the PCB, Suryakumar Yadav's hearing took place today before ICC Elite Panel Match Referee Richie Richardson. According to reports, the referee will deliver his final decision on September 26th. If the decision goes against him, he could receive a warning or a fine of a percentage of his match fee. However, if the referee finds that Surya committed no violation, he will not face any punishment.

ICC hearing over Pak's complaint

The PCB alleges that after the match played in Dubai on September 14th, Suryakumar dedicated a video to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and the Indian Armed Forces involved in Operation Sindoor. The PCB termed this as a political comment and complained to the ICC.

Furthermore, Suryakumar did not shake hands with the Pakistani captain during the toss, a decision the Pakistan Cricket Board expressed displeasure over and demanded action.

When will the Pakistani players' hearing take place?

Meanwhile, the BCCI has filed a complaint with the ICC against Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf. They made provocative gestures during the Super Four match against India. Farhan performed a gun celebration after reaching his half-century, while Haris Rauf made a plane-shooting gesture. The match referee's hearing with these two players will take place on September 26th.
