Where is the Asia Cup trophy?

Even weeks after the final match between India and Pakistan in Dubai on September 28th, the Asia Cup trophy issue remains unresolved. According to ANI reports, the Asia Cup trophy has been moved from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) headquarters in Dubai and hidden in another location in Abu Dhabi. Only Mohsin Naqvi knows about it.

How the entire matter came to light

According to reports, last week an official from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) visited the ACC headquarters and inquired about the Asia Cup trophy. Staff there informed him that it had been moved and stored in a location in Abu Dhabi, with Mohsin Naqvi's knowledge.

Earlier this month, Naqvi had set a condition for its return: if the Indian team wishes to collect it, they can come to the ACC office to collect it. According to reports from Geo News, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently proposed holding a ceremony to present the Asia Cup 2025 trophy to India.

Mohsin Naqvi's condition

Mohsin Naqvi's response comes after the BCCI sent him a formal letter asking him to hand over the trophy to India. In his response, the ACC President remained firm on his stance and requested the BCCI to send an Indian player to the ceremony to collect the trophy from him.

Summary

An ACC meeting was held in late September. Following the meeting, several reports claimed that Naqvi apologized to the BCCI for the chaos that occurred after the final. However, a day later, Naqvi denied these reports.
