IMC 2025 has begun: The India Mobile Congress begins today, October 8th. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 9th edition of IMC (India Mobile Congress). Asia's largest telecom event
This year, the theme of IMC is "Innovate to Transform," showcasing India's leadership in digital transformation. More than 400 companies are participating in this year's event. This year, the India Mobile Congress will focus on 6G, quantum communications, semiconductors, optical networks, and cyber fraud prevention.
IMC Begins
Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia opened the program, highlighting how data costs in India have declined over the past 11 years. He stated that mobile data costs have fallen by 98 percent in the past 11 years. There was a time when a single voice call minute was a luxury.
Today, India has 20 percent of the world's mobile users.
He spoke about digital first and how UPI has transformed the country. Over 150,000 visitors will participate in this four-day event. Jyotiraditya Scindia stated that this year, India will be the first state to receive data. It is also planning a Startup World Cup.
