After the Australia series, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be taking a month's break. The Indian team's next assignment in 50-over cricket is the ODI series against South Africa.

Australia Series Is Over:  The Indian team won the third match of the ODI series against Australia by 9 wickets. In the match played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25 (Saturday), the Australian team set India a target of 237 runs to win, which they easily achieved. Veteran batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli played a key role in India's victory. Both experienced players displayed their class and defeated the Kangaroo bowlers.

Both of these veterans are expected to play in this series.

When will Roko be seen playing for India?

The two shared an unbeaten partnership of 168 runs for the second wicket, making the Indian team's victory very easy. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 121, while Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 74. With this victory, the Indian team avoided a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series. It's worth noting that Australia had already won the series by winning the Perth and Adelaide ODIs.

What did Captain Gill say about ROKO?

Shubman Gill said in a press conference, "It hasn't been discussed yet. But there will be a significant gap for them after the ODI series against South Africa (December 6) ends and before the New Zealand series (January 11, 2026). Then we'll see how to keep these two veterans in touch. Perhaps a decision will be made then."

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are now expected to play for India in the ODI series against South Africa. A two-match Test series is scheduled between India and South Africa starting November 14th. The ODI series will be followed by the ODI series. The ODI series will begin on November 30th in Ranchi, followed by the second match in Raipur on December 3rd. The final ODI is scheduled for December 6th in Visakhapatnam. This means that Kohli and Rohit can now play their next match for India on November 30th, with a month to go.

The Indian team will then play a three-match ODI series against New Zealand starting January 11th next year. Meanwhile, the domestic ODI tournament (Vijay Hazare Trophy) will begin on December 24th. It is expected that Rohit and Kohli will play some matches for their respective domestic teams to maintain their momentum.
