Avalanche In Uttarakhand: More than 57 workers trapped under snow in Badrinath’s Chamoli
Avalanche in Chamoli: A major accident has happened in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. There has been a lot of devastation due to glacier break in Mana village, due to which 47 workers have been buried in snow. Let us tell you that 57 workers were victims of this accident, but 16 have been rescued. The search for the rest is going on.
After the accident, the administration and BRO team have left for the spot. At present, the ITBP and Garhwal Scout team are engaged in rescue operation.
It is being told that at the time of the accident, a large number of workers of a private contractor were working at the spot.
Glacier Burst in Badrinath Dham
All were workers of a contractor working under the contract of BRO. When the avalanche came, everyone started running here and there. Some of them managed to escape, while 57 workers got caught in the snow.

Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari has given necessary instructions to the officers associated with IRS to carry out rescue work. The District Magistrate said that an avalanche has been reported near the Border Roads Organization between Mana village and Mana Pass.
57 workers trapped in glacier break
It has been reported that 57 laborers who were removing snow from the road for the movement of the army are near the incident site. So far no human loss has been reported in the incident. Along with the army, rescue teams of ITBP, NDRF, SDRF have been sent to the spot.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami express his grief
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over this accident by tweeting. The CM himself has said that 16 of the trapped workers have been rescued. He said, 'Sad news was received that many workers were buried due to avalanche during the construction work conducted by BRO near Mana village in Chamoli district.

CR Meena of BRO team said, 'We got the input around 11 am in the morning that an avalanche has come. One of our contractor's men was there on the roadside, out of which 57 were buried. According to the input received, about 15 people were rescued, out of which 3 are injured.

They are being treated in the Army Hospital. We have also sent an ambulance, but due to heavy snowfall, the road is blocked at many places between Mana Pass and Badrinath. The team is clearing it. Our last conversation was at 11:30 through the army, after that communication is not possible.'
Weather in the mountains are bad
Let us tell you that the weather in the mountains has been very bad for the last two days. Heavy rains are occurring in many areas of Uttarakhand as well as Himachal Pradesh. Somewhere, rivers are in space and somewhere vehicles are floating in drains.
Summary
Today (28 February) itself, pictures of devastation have also emerged from Kullu and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh. The Chandigarh-Manali National Highway has been closed after a landslide in the Ot area of Mandi district, while in Kullu, a case of vehicles being swept away due to overflow of rainwater in drains has come to light.
Looking at the weather in different areas of Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.
