Azam Khan Released From Jail After 23 Months; Akhilesh Yadav Says 'Justice Done

SP leader Azam Khan, a well-known name in Uttar Pradesh politics, walked out of jail today after 23 months wearing sunglasses. He has been granted bail in 72 cases. Currently, 104 cases are registered against him. Azam Khan walked out of Sitapur jail, accompanied by a large crowd of supporters. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav thanked the court for Azam Khan's release. He said, "We had full faith that the court would deliver justice. In the future, there won't be a single false case. The Rampur MLA, the BJP, and an officer who has received repeated extensions, together, will not commit injustice."

Shivpal Singh Yadav said the government had implicated him in a false case.

Akhilesh -cases will be withdrawn when the government comes to power

Akhilesh Yadav said that today is a happy day for us. We hope all his cases will be dismissed. Just as the Chief Minister withdrew the cases against himself and the Deputy Chief Minister after the formation of the Samajwadi Party government, the cases against Azam Khan will be withdrawn after our government is formed. Regarding Azam Khan joining the BSP, Akhilesh said that Azam Khan has played a major role in fighting the BJP with us, not just today, but since very long.

BJP government implicated him in hundreds of false cases

Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav said that Azam Khan was implicated in hundreds of false cases by the government, but the courts are granting him relief. We welcome the court's decision. He said that the SP will provide him with full support. Reports of him joining the BSP are false; we are fully supporting him. Responding to speculation about Azam Khan joining the BSP, Shivpal Singh Yadav said that these are all false reports.
