Badrinath Dham doors opened, temple decorated with 15 quintals of flowers
The doors of Badrinath temple have been opened for devotees at 6 am today on Ravi Pushya Lagna. As soon as the doors opened, the Dham echoed with the chants of Jai Badri Vishal. At the same time, flowers were showered on the devotees from helicopters.
On the opening of the doors of Badrinath, devotees from the country and abroad have reached the Dham to see the Akhand Jyoti burning here for six months.

Earlier, the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath Dham have also opened.
Religious rituals and festivals
The process of opening the doors started at four in the morning. Traditional dances were performed by local women along with the tunes of army bands and drums, which made the atmosphere devotional. While the temple has been decorated with 15 quintals of flowers.

Badrinath Dham Yatra will be polythene free
The Chamoli district administration has decided to keep the Badrinath pilgrimage polythene free this year. District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari has urged the hotel and dhaba operators located at the Dham and Yatra halts to minimize the use of polythene.
He has asked to clean the establishments. The operators of hotels in Karnaprayag, Gauchar, Nandprayag, Pipalkoti, Jyotirmath, Govindghat and Pandukeshwar have been instructed to mandatorily paste rate lists and keep fire cylinders.
