Big accident in Humayun's Tomb in Delhi, part of the dome collapsed, 5 dead, several injured
Delhi News: A major accident took place on Friday in Humayun's Tomb located in Nizamuddin, Delhi. A part of the wall of a room built inside the premises suddenly collapsed. 5 people have died in the accident, while 4 people have been injured. While the injured people in this accident have been admitted to the near by hospital. Police is investigating the accident. Regarding the incident, people told that they had come to the Dargah for Friday prayers, at the same time this incident happened.

Accident in Humayun's Tomb
This accident has taken place in Humayun's Tomb located in Nizamuddin, Delhi. A part of the tomb collapsed today i.e. on Friday (15 August). 5 people have died in the accident. Four other people have been injured. An official of Delhi Fire Service said that a part of the dome suddenly collapsed. After receiving the information, Delhi Police reached the spot in a hurry. Many fire engines have reached the spot. The monument is a mid-16th century tomb. It is heavily crowded with tourists on weekends and holidays.
Five people died
Meanwhile the Delhi police said that nine injured were taken to AIIMS Trauma Center and one was taken to LNJP Hospital. Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain, while talking to the media, said, "So far we have come to know that five people undergoing treatment at AIIMS Trauma Center have died and others are still undergoing treatment.
He said that people had come to the dargah for Friday prayers and were sitting inside the room due to rain when the incident happened. One of the senior Delhi police officer said that the rescue operation has been completed.
Delhi police pulled out 10 to 12 victims from the debris
A senior police officer said about the incident, "The station in-charge and local staff reached there within five minutes and started rescue work. After some time, firemen and CATs ambulance also reached the spot. The NDRF also joined the rescue operation.

Summary
A senior DFS official had initially said that an information was received about the collapse of a part of the mausoleum's dome, following which five fire engines were immediately rushed to the spot.
