Bihar: A YouTuber has been arrested for allegedly breaking harmony through his channel

Darbhanga police said on Monday that a reporter from a YouTube news channel had been arrested for allegedly seeking to undermine tranquility between two villages.

The arrest was made when certain anti-social elements harmed the law-and-order situation in the neighborhood, and two YouTube channels aired 'ground reports' reportedly spreading inaccurate and offensive content, according to the police.
On July 23, an incident occurred in the Shivdhara market neighborhood of Darbhanga.

According to an official statement issued by the office of the senior superintendent of police on Monday, YouTube'reporter Ajay Kumar, who lives in Ijra village under Rahika police station in Madhubani, was detained for spreading inaccurate and objectionable content through his channel.
The authorities investigated the alleged news stations' material and discovered that the films displayed hatred and attempted to undermine harmony between the two communities.

As a result, a complaint was filed at the cyber police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act against both channels.
