Bihar Election 2025: Voting has begun for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. Over 37 million voters will decide the fate of 1,302 candidates across 122 seats. These include more than half a dozen ministers in the government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Voting will take place at 45,399 polling stations in the second phase of the Bihar elections, of which 40,073 are in rural areas. Of the total voters, 17.5 million are women. Hisua constituency (Nawada) has the highest number of voters at 3.67 lakh, while Lauriya, Chanpatia, Raxaul, Triveniganj, Sugauli, and Banmakhi have the highest number of candidates (22 each). Voting for 121 seats was held in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, with a voter turnout of over 65%.

Voting has begun today for the final phase of Bihar election
The second phase will see voting in districts bordering Nepal, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj. Over 400,000 security personnel have been deployed across the state to ensure safe and transparent voting. Most of the seats in the second phase are in the Seemanchal region, where the Muslim population is high, making this phase crucial for both the NDA and the All India Alliance.

The NDA is accusing the opposition of "protecting infiltrators," while the opposition is banking on minority voters. Prominent candidates include senior JDU leader Bijendra Prasad Yadav (Supaul), BJP's Premendra Kumar (Gaya Town), Renu Devi (Bettiah), Neeraj Kumar Singh 'Babloo' (Chhatapur), Leshi Singh (Dhamdaha), Sheela Mandal (Phulparas), and Jama Khan (Chainpur).
