The Varanasi High Court has permitted the Hindu side to pray inside the Gyanvapi complex. This is a major turning point in the Gyanvapi case. The Hindu side has been fighting to prove the existence of a Hindu Temple before the Gyanavpi mosque which was destroyed to build the existing structure.

A recent report by ASI survey found the signs of a Hindu temple at the structure. The ASI survey found a broken Shivling, a Ganesh Idol, several inscriptions,s and clean signs of Hindu temple architecture.

This decision by the Varanasi district court is seen as a huge win by the Hindu side in the ongoing case.

The Hindu side will be allowed to pray/pooja in the sealed basement of the mosque.
