Budget 2025: Many announcements have been made in the budget for farmers. Prime Minister Dhan Dhanya Yojana has been announced for farmers in the budget. At the same time, the formation of Makhana Board has been announced in Bihar. The government's focus is on increasing employment in rural areas. The Finance Minister said in the budget speech that Makhana Board will be formed in Bihar.

This board will work to help production, marketing and farmers. This is the eighth consecutive budget of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This time too, she is presenting the budget through a digital tablet wrapped in a traditional 'Bahi-Khata' style bag.

FM first announcement in the budget for the farmers

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday presented the general budget for the financial year 2025-26. She made the first announcement in the budget for the farmers. While giving a gift to the food producers, the Finance Minister increased the limit of Kisan Credit Card from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, while also announcing the 'Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana'.

The Finance Minister said that under this scheme, with the help of state governments, the focus will be on increasing production in those 100 districts across the country where productivity is low. This will benefit 1.7 crore farmers. For this, financial assistance will be provided to farmers for agricultural equipment, seeds, and fertilizers. He said that employment opportunities will be created in the agriculture sector under the scheme.

How will farmers benefit

Apart from this, steps will also be taken to promote technology in the field of agriculture. Storage and irrigation facilities will be developed under this scheme. High quality seeds will also be made available to the farmers. Apart from this, fertilizers will be supplied to increase agricultural production. The Finance Minister said that under this, financial assistance will be provided for tractors, pump sets etc.
