CBI Director Praveen Sood gets one year's extension

CBI Director Praveen Sood has got one year extension. Now he will remain the head of the country's largest investigating agency for the next one year. Orders have also been issued by the Department of Personnel and Training in this regard. According to this, CBI Director Praveen Sood will remain in this post for the next one year. This happened because the committee selecting the new director could not agree on any one name.

This committee includes PM Modi, CJI Sanjeev Khanna and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi. Their meeting was held in the PMO yesterday.

The Cabinet Appointment Committee has also issued an order regarding this. Earlier, a meeting of the Cabinet Appointment Committee was held under the leadership of PM Modi in which Rahul Gandhi and CJI participated.

Praveen Sood Extension Letter

The committee could not reach any conclusion, so it was certain that Sood would get an extension. That is what happened today, the Cabinet Appointment Committee gave Praveen Sood a one-year extension. Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is the nodal ministry.

It has not been revealed yet what happened in the meeting. If government sources are to be believed, the committee could not reach a conclusion on any name, so no decision could be taken regarding the appointment.
