Ceasefire News: What is the current situation of LoC, know the big updates

Just hours after India and Pakistan agreed to stop military action on Saturday, New Delhi accused Islamabad of violating it.

Ceasefire News:  After the ceasefire was announced by Pakistan, there was firing and drone attack again in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat late in the evening, but the situation is normal here this morning. No sound of drone or firing has been heard. However, the Indian Army has been put on alert and has been ordered to take strict action on any attack.

What is current situation of LoC

There is no news of firing on LOC after 9 pm on Saturday night. The blackout was lifted late night in Srinagar. No drone activity of any kind has been seen in Srinagar after 9:30 pm. There were continuous drone attacks in Srinagar from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

There were attempts to attack military bases in Srinagar and Budgam and Srinagar airport. But all attempts of attack were foiled. All the drones were shot down in the air. During this, the sound of explosions kept coming in the air.

There was firing and drone attack again in Jammu and Kashmir

Religious places are being continuously targeted by Pakistan. On Saturday, the Shambhu temple and residential areas of Jammu were damaged in the Pakistani attack.

Last night, there was also an attempt to attack the Shankaracharya temple in Srinagar with a drone. But that attack was also foiled.

A BSF jawan was martyred and seven others were injured in Pakistani firing

A senior Border Security Force (BSF) official said that Sub Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz bravely led from the front and made the supreme sacrifice. India and Pakistan had agreed on a ceasefire.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that the Directors General of Military Operations of the two countries had decided to cease all firing and military action on land, air and sea from 5 pm on Saturday, but the ceasefire was broken by Pakistan a few hours later.

Key Updates on LOC

The agreement to halt military operations came hours after the Indian and Pakistani armies targeted each other's installations, the most serious confrontation since India launched 'Operation Sindoor' on the morning of May 7 targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

India announced these measures on April 23, a day after the brutal terror attack on April 22. 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam attack. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that there has been no decision to hold talks on any other issue at any other place.

The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan are scheduled to meet on May 12 at 12 noon. Meanwhile, India has made it clear that next time any terrorist attack will be considered an act of war and the punishment will be much more than this time.
