Chandra Grahan 2025: When the Sun, Earth and Moon come in a straight line and the Earth prevents the sunlight from reaching the moon, then a lunar eclipse occurs. In a full lunar eclipse, the moon is completely absorbed in the shadow of the earth and then its color starts appearing red. Today's eclipse will be exactly like this.

Sutak period will start from 1 pm on Sunday in entire Bihar including Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, border areas adjoining Ranchi. According to tradition, the doors of temples will be closed as soon as the Sutak period begins. According to religious beliefs, worship of deities, food and touch are prohibited during this period.
