The attack has put Israel in a difficult situation, where all fingers are pointing towards Israel. The reason for this accusation is the truth that Israel has been carrying out strikes and attacks in Gaza to eliminate Hamas bases and militants.

While the media around the world were quick to accuse Israel for the incident, Israel Defense Forces were ready to counter the blame. Israel Defense Forces blamed Islamic Jihad for the attack on the hospital which killed hundreds. Israel said that rocket which hit the hospital was launched to target Israel. This rocket was unsuccessful in the launch and thus resulted in hitting the hospital which was closely located to the site of launch.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has blamed Islamic Jihad for firing rockets towards Israel from densely populated areas in Gaza, risking the  lives of many.

Did IDF expose Islamic Jihad?

IDF took to twitter to reveal that "Islamic Jihad" was after the incident. IDF shared an voice recording of the conversation between the members of Hamas who were talking about who was behind the attack and later revealed, that Islamic Jihad launched a rocket which failed to launch successfully from the cemetery which is located behind the hospital and ended up blowing up as it hit the hospital. The voice recording cannot be confirmed as true as of now.
