Covid Cases in India: 43 new cases of corona in a day, Mumbai has highest ratio
Covid Cases in Maharashtra: Cases of Covid-19 infection are once again seen increasing in Maharashtra. According to the data released by the Health Department, 43 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the state on May 25. Of these, the highest number of 35 cases have been reported from Mumbai, due to which vigilance has been increased in the metropolis.
The Health Department has advised to increase vigilance and has appealed to people to wear masks and avoid crowds.

Other eight cases have been reported from different districts of the state.
However, it is a matter of relief that no death of any patient was recorded during this period. The Health Department said that the condition of all the infected patients is stable and they are being given necessary care in home isolation or hospitals.
Experts have advised citizens to be cautious, wear masks and avoid going to crowded areas.

Covid-19 cases rise again in the country, two new variants found
Cases of Covid-19 infection have started increasing once again in the country. According to the latest data from the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), two new variants NB.1.8.1 and LF.7 have been found in India.
Mumbai has highest ratio of 35 patients
The World Health Organization (WHO) has placed both these variants in the category of "Variants Under Monitoring". However, they are currently neither classified as "Variants of Concern" (VOC) nor "Variants of Interest" (VOI).
But according to reports, these variants may be responsible for the increase in Covid cases in China and other countries of Asia.
Covid Cases in India
Currently, the highest number of active cases in India have been reported from Kerala, where 273 patients were active in the month of May. Apart from this, an increase in cases has also been registered in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

An 84-year-old man has also died of Covid in Bengaluru. Apart from this, a 9-month-old child has also been found infected. 23 new cases were reported in Delhi on Thursday.
