It should be headed by an IGP, and both members will also be of the rank of SP or above.

The court said that the investigation of the FIR will be handed over to the SIT. The petitioner is directed to join the investigation and cooperate fully. Shah's arrest will be stayed. Although following the established law, we are not going to directly monitor the investigation, but in view of the special facts, we direct the SIT to submit the results of its investigation through a status report. The case was listed on May 28.
