Dalit Woman Stripped, Beaten, and Forced to Drink Urine in Patna Over Rs 1,500 Loan
A horrifying incident in Patna, Bihar, has sent shockwaves through the community, as a Dalit woman endured a brutal assault and humiliation at the hands of a father-son duo. The victim had reportedly repaid a loan of Rs 1,500 with interest to Pramod Singh, the accused, a few months prior. Despite her repayment, Pramod Singh, along with his son Anshu and four others, relentlessly demanded additional money, which she steadfastly refused.
On the night of the incident, around 10 p.m., the accused group forcibly entered the Dalit woman's residence and abducted her, taking her to their house. There, she faced a horrifying ordeal. She was stripped, subjected to severe beatings with sticks, and ultimately forced to drink urine when Pramod Singh instructed his son to commit this heinous act.
In a desperate bid for survival, the victim managed to escape and return to her home. Her injuries were grave, particularly to her head, and she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Currently, she is undergoing treatment for her injuries.
Tragically, the victim had previously reported the threats made by Pramod Singh to the police, but no action had been taken, leaving her vulnerable to this vicious attack.
News of this shocking incident has ignited anger and unrest in the area, with the victim's family and the Dalit community demanding immediate justice. Both accused, Pramod Singh and Anshu, are currently on the run, as authorities intensify efforts to apprehend them and bring them to justice for their appalling actions. The case serves as a stark reminder of the pressing need for a swift and effective response to threats and harassment, particularly in cases involving vulnerable individuals, to prevent such tragic occurrences.
