 Today is World Youth Skills Day, an occasion
to reflect on the abilities of today’s young people and consider what may be
done at the local, national, and international levels to better showcase and
develop their talents.


The 15th of July is
recognised as World Youth Skills Day.Technical and vocational education and
training (TVET) is ideally suited to meet these needs because it helps people
enter the workforce more easily, teaches them marketable skills that employers
value, encourages them to adopt environmentally friendly practises, and
provides opportunities for youth who are not currently engaged in formal education,
employment, or training to acquire marketable skills.


On July 15, 2014, World
Youth Skills Day was established by the United Nations. Since then, the unique
occasion has been celebrated year on the same date. The purpose of designating
this day was to get the word out to young people about the value of developing
marketable skills.

 

This year’s World
students Skills Day is focused on preparing today’s educators and tomorrow’s
students to create a better world. This year’s World Youth Skills Day has a
special focus: the influence of teachers and educators on the lives of young
people.
