Death toll in explosion at Iran's Bandar Abbas port rises to 25, several admitted to hospital
A massive explosion took place at Iran's Bandar Abbas port on Saturday. After this a fire broke out on the spot. A total of 25 people have died in the accident so far. At the same time, the number of injured is around 700. After the blast, provincial disaster management officer Mehrdad Hasanzadeh had said that the explosion was very horrific. Many of the injured have been admitted to hospitals in Hormozgan province.

Ban imposed on export and transit shipments
According to Iranian media, after the blast, Iran's customs authority has ordered all custom offices to immediately ban sending export and transit shipments to the port. This ban will remain in effect till further orders. However, trucks that had already completed the customs process have been allowed to exit the port area.

Injured were admitted to the hospital
Although Iran's National Emergency Service chief Yaktaparast said that the people injured in the port blast have been admitted to various hospitals. This massive explosion on Saturday has not only halted the port activities but has also had a major impact on regional trade and supply chain.
