Delhi Election 2025: AAP changed candidate on Narela & Harinagar seats of Delhi

Aam Aadmi Party had earlier fielded Dinesh Bhardwaj from Narela. At the same time, Rajkumari Dhillon was given ticket from Harinagar seat.

Delhi Election 2025: AAP has fielded its candidates on all 70 seats. This time, AAP had cut the tickets of 20 sitting MLAs, while three MLAs were given tickets to their family members. Sharad Chauhan was also among the MLAs whose tickets were cut, who has been given ticket again at the last moment. Apart from this, Arvind Kejriwal has also given opportunity to many leaders who have come from other parties.

In view of the Delhi elections, Aam Aadmi Party has changed candidates on two seats. Sharad Chauhan, the sitting MLA from Narela, has been given ticket once again. Earlier, Dinesh Bhardwaj's name was announced from here. Rajkumar Dhillon's ticket from Harinagar has been cut and Surinder Setia has been made the candidate.

AAP has fielded its candidates on all 70 seats

If we talk about the list of AAP candidates, six out of 11 candidates in the first list were from other parties, while in the second list, tickets of 15 sitting MLAs were cut. In the third list, Tarun Yadav was declared the candidate in place of Kailash Gehlot. Apart from this, almost all the candidates were repeated in the final list. Out of these, the ticket of the MLA of Kasturba Nagar was cut and the ticket was given to the wife of Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Baliyan.

Tickets given to sons and wives of three MLAs

While on one hand the Aam Aadmi Party cut the tickets of many sitting MLAs, there are also three such seats where the sons and wives of the MLAs have been given tickets. On the Krishna Nagar seat, AAP gave ticket to his son Vikas Bagga instead of SK Bagga. Similarly, on the Chandni Chowk seat, his son Purundeep Sahni got a chance in place of Prahlad Sahni. On the other hand, Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan is currently in jail in a case of extortion and recovery, due to which AAP has given ticket to his wife Posh Balyan.

6 out of 11 candidates in the first list are outsiders

On the other hand, if we talk about ticket denial, then in the first list, tickets of three sitting MLAs were denied. After this, the maximum denial happened in the second list. In this list, tickets of 15 sitting MLAs were denied. Only one candidate was announced in the third list. Although 38 candidates have been announced in the fourth list, but only Kasturba Nagar's sitting MLA Madan Lal's ticket was denied.

Summary

In this election, Aam Aadmi Party was in the news because just as it kept opposing the leaders' changing parties, in this election it gave opportunities to such leaders. AAP's first list had the names of 11 candidates, out of which six candidates had come from other parties (3 from BJP, 3 from Congress)
