Delhi Elections 2025: Only a few days are left for the Delhi Assembly elections. Today is the last date for nomination for the candidates contesting the Delhi elections. In such a situation, many candidates can file their nomination today. At the same time, the date for withdrawal of nomination has been fixed as 20 January. The code of conduct came into force in Delhi since the announcement of elections. Delhi Police has so far registered 215 cases of code of conduct.

Till now, the maximum number of 16 candidates have filed nomination papers from Matiala assembly seat of Delhi, which is the highest among all the seats. At the same time, Patel Nagar and Kasturba Nagar seats have the least number of nominations, only 3 each.

Today is last day of nomination in Delhi

The nomination process for the Delhi Assembly elections is in full swing. So far, a total of 555 candidates have filed 841 nomination papers for 70 seats. Meanwhile Friday, January 17, is the last day for filing nominations. In such a situation, the nomination process is likely to gain momentum.

16 candidates filed nominations from Matiala

So far, the maximum number of 16 candidates have filed nomination papers from Matiala assembly seat of Delhi, which is the highest among all the seats. At the same time, Patel Nagar and Kasturba Nagar seats have the least number of nominations, only 3 each.

Total of 555 candidates have filed 841 nomination papers for 70 seats

The number of people filing nomination papers is expected to increase further on the last day. After this, the process of scrutiny of nomination papers and withdrawal of names will begin. All preparations have been completed by the Election Commission. Voting will be held in Delhi on February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8.

BJP fielded candidates on 68 seats

All the parties have announced their candidates on most of the seats. On Thursday, BJP released another list which had the names of 9 candidates. BJP has given ticket to a woman against AAP MLA and Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash seat. BJP has fielded Shikha Rai from here. Bhuvan Tanwar has been given ticket from Delhi Cantt.

Summary

With this, BJP has announced all its candidates. The party has fielded candidates on 68 seats. The remaining two seats Burari and Deoli have been left for its allies. Of these, JDU candidate is contesting from Burari and LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate is contesting from Deoli.
