Delhi-NCR Weather: Delhi recorded its coldest morning of the season yesterday, with the temperature dropping to 4.2 degrees Celsius. Today, the temperature in the capital is approximately 6 degrees Celsius, but due to the cold winds, it feels like around 4 degrees. The cold wave continues in Delhi. The cold has intensified in many areas, including AIIMS and Akshardham Temple.

The cold wave continues in many areas. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) has been recorded above 300 in several areas.

Continuous rain in Tamil Nadu
Rain continues in several parts of Tamil Nadu. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, and Villupuram. Moderate rainfall is expected across the entire state.

AQI above 300 in several areas
The air quality remains in the 'very poor' category in several areas of Delhi. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI has been recorded above 300 in many areas, including Anand Vihar and Vivek Vihar.
Dense fog alert in Punjab and Haryana
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange and yellow alert for dense fog in Punjab and Haryana for the next two days. Dense fog covered major cities of Punjab. Amritsar recorded a minimum temperature of 1 degree Celsius, making it the coldest city. This was followed by a drop in temperature in Faridkot, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, Patiala, and Mansa. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday, January 11, is expected to be between 16°C and 18°C, and the minimum temperature between 3°C and 5°C. The minimum temperature here may remain below normal.
Intense cold continues in Kashmir
People in Kashmir have not yet received any relief from the intense cold. On Sunday night, the temperature in Srinagar dropped to minus 6 degrees Celsius. The cold weather is expected to continue in the coming days as well.
