Delhi Police on Tuesday registered a case against Chief Minister Atishi for violating the Model Code of Conduct and obstructing public servants from performing their duties. An official gave this information. The Chief Minister Atishi is the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Delhi's Kalkaji assembly seat.

The police officer said, "We have registered an FIR against the AAP candidate from Kalkaji under various sections at Govindpuri police station.

Meanwhile the Delhi police said that this action was taken when the AAP candidate reached Fateh Singh Marg with 50-70 supporters and 10 vehicles. He said that the police instructed Atishi to vacate the area as per the guidelines of the Model Code of Conduct but she obstructed an officer from performing his duties.

Through a post on the social media platform 'X', Atishi targeted the Election Commission and alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and his family members are openly doing "hooliganism" but no action has been taken, even though a case has been registered against them.

Atishi said - I complained, no action taken against Bidhuri

Voting is to be held on 5 February on 70 assembly seats of Delhi. Just a day before this, Delhi Police registered a case against CM Atishi for violating the code of conduct. Along with this, the police also registered a case of violation of code of conduct against Manish Bidhuri, a supporter of BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri. Delhi Police has given this information by replying to Atishi's Twitter post.

Delhi Police wrote in reply- At 12:30 pm on the night of 3-4 February, AAP candidate from Kalkaji was found on Fateh Singh Marg with 50-70 people and 10 vehicles. Police asked them to clear the way due to Model Code of Conduct (MCC). On the complaint of Flying Squad, a case has been registered in PS Govindpuri under section 223 of BNS and RP Act 126.

On the case of MCC violation registered against Atishi, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said- I think fair elections and Election Commission have no meaning. Delhi has Parliament, Supreme Court, Election Commission and this is happening under their nose. Hooliganism is happening openly in Kalkaji. Ramesh Bidhuri's relatives are roaming there. BJP candidate is doing hooliganism in Jangpura. All this is happening in New Delhi as well.

Sanjay said- Election Commission is not seeing this. On the contrary, when we raised the issue, an FIR was registered against a woman Chief Minister (Aatishi).

On the case of MCC violation registered against Atishi, AAP wrote on X- Election Commission is not missing a single moment in fulfilling its alliance dharma with BJP. Last night, Ramesh Bidhuri's family members and goons were openly violating the code of conduct in Kalkaji Vidhan Sabha. CM Atishi ji complained about this to Delhi Police.
