Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) is extremely poor
Indeed, as the winter intensifies in Delhi, the air has once again become toxic. The air quality index (AQI) is rapidly deteriorating due to the drop in temperature. On Thursday morning, Delhi's average AQI was recorded at 349, which falls in the 'very poor' category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI has reached severe levels at many monitoring stations. Cold winds are trapping pollutants in the air, worsening the situation.
