Delhi Rain: A painful accident took place in Delhi's Jafarpur Kalan area amid strong winds. Here a heavy neem tree fell on a room built in the farm, due to which the room collapsed. A woman and three innocent children present in the room died after being buried under the debris. The relief and rescue team that arrived after the information pulled everyone out of the debris, but on reaching the hospital, the doctors declared them dead. Another person has been injured in the accident, whose treatment is going on.

Here in Kharkhari Nahar village, a neem tree fell on a tubewell room built on the farm and it collapsed.

A woman and her three innocent children died after being buried under the debris, while the woman's husband is injured.

Storm took 4 lives

According to the information, this incident is from Kharkhari Nahar village of Dwarka district. Due to strong winds, a huge neem tree fell on a tubewell room built in the field. This caused the room to collapse completely and the woman and three innocent children present in it were buried under the debris.

The police got information about this accident at 5:26 am, after which relief and rescue work was started immediately. Police and fire department teams reached the spot and pulled out the people buried under the debris. All were taken to RTR Hospital in Jafarpur Kala, but the doctors declared all four dead.

House roof collapsed due to heavy rain

Among the deceased were 26-year-old Jyoti, her three children, including two daughters and a son, all died on the spot. At the time of the accident, the family was present in the tubewell room built in the field, which collapsed under the tree that fell due to strong winds.

The only surviving member of the family, Ajay Kushwaha, has been injured in this accident. Ajay is the husband of the deceased Jyoti. Ajay was discharged from the hospital after first aid. Delhi Police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation is going on.

Strong winds, heavy rain and hailstorm affected life in Delhi-NCR on Friday morning. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Delhi and warned of thunderstorms, lightning and rain at a speed of 70-80 km per hour in the next few hours.

Why did the weather suddenly take such a turn? Along with Western Disturbance, a major reason is being told that a large cloud mass is passing over Delhi. Apart from this, pre-monsoon activities are also starting in North India at this time, which caused a sudden change in the weather.

The Palam Meteorological Center has confirmed winds of 74 km per hour. People have been advised to stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed and avoid traveling. Thunderstorms and heavy rains are also expected in many states including North India.

Rain and hailstorm affected life in Delhi-NCR

IMD had issued a yellow alert from May 1 to 3. At the same time, intermittent light rain may continue from May 4 to 6. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has warned that do not stay in the open during strong winds and storms, especially do not stand under trees or tin roofs.

Due to heavy rains, waterlogging situation persists in many low-lying areas of Delhi-NCR, affecting traffic. Traffic jams are being seen on the roads due to waterlogging and strong winds.
