Dharmendra is no more, dies at the age of 89, last rites performed at Vile Parle crematorium

Famous actor Dharmendra passed away today. The veteran actor breathed his last at the age of 89. His last rites were performed at the Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai. Numerous film personalities attended the funeral.

Dharmendra Death News: Veteran Bollywood actor and He-Man Dharmendra, known as the "He-Man", passed away at the age of 89. His last rites were performed at the Vile Parle crematorium. His family, along with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar, were present.

Famous actor Dharmendra passed away today

Dharmendra had been suffering from age-related ailments for some time. On November 10, he experienced breathing problems and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. On November 12, Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital, and doctors advised him to continue his treatment at home.

Dharmendra was living at the Deol bungalow in Juhu, with his son Sunny Deol by his side. His first wife Prakash and daughters from his first marriage were also present at his home. Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have arrived at the Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai. An official statement on the well-known actor's health is awaited.

End of an era - Karan Johar

Film director Karan Johar posted on Instagram about Dharmendra's passing, "This is the end of an era... a huge megastar... a hero in mainstream cinema... incredibly handsome and with the most mysterious screen presence... He is and always will be a true legend of Indian cinema... a special and glorious presence in the pages of cinematic history..."

He acted in over 300 films.

Dharmendra was one of the most respected and popular stars of Hindi cinema. In a career spanning over seven decades, he appeared in over 300 films, including superhits like "Sholay," "Chupke Chupke," "Seeta Aur Geeta," and "Dharam Veer." His dialogues are still frequently repeated, with "Basanti in kutta ke aage mat naachna" from Sholay being the biggest hit.

Last film to release next month

Dharmendra remained active in films even at the age of 89. He was recently seen in the films "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" and "Teri Baatein... Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya," where he captivated audiences with his acting. He will now be seen in Amitabh's grandson Agastya Nanda's film "21kkies." This is the actor's last film, which will be released on December 25th of this year. Sadly, Dharmendra passed away before the film's release.
