There is a contest between BJP's Chandrabhanu Paswan and SP's Ajit Prasad on Milkipur assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Ayodhya Milkipur By Election Result 2025: Counting has started on Milkipur assembly seat. There is a tough contest between BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan and SP candidate Ajit Prasad on this seat. Voting was held on this seat on 5 February. Many big leaders of BJP and Samajwadi Party had campaigned on Milkipur seat. Many big leaders including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President Bhupendra Chaudhary campaigned for BJP.

While many leaders including Akhilesh Yadav, his wife and MP Dimple Yadav put their strength for SP.

SP President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had alleged that there were large-scale irregularities during voting in Milkipur. He had also given a sensational statement like 'Election Commission is dead'.

BJP had lost in Faizabad

The results of Milkipur assembly seat are also important because it is a part of Faizabad (Ayodhya) Lok Sabha constituency. When BJP lost the Faizabad (Ayodhya) seat in the Lok Sabha elections, it was discussed all over the country. After the construction of Ram temple, the party workers and supporters could not digest the defeat of BJP on this seat. In the Lok Sabha elections, SP candidate Awadhesh Prasad won from this seat.

These major areas come in Milkipur seat

This seat has three blocks - Amaniganj, Haringtonganj and Milkipur. Haringtonganj has more Yadav voters, while Milkipur block has a mixed population of all communities. The population of Pasi community is in all three blocks. The major areas of this seat also include many villages like Jaalim Ka Purwa, Harpal Ka Purwa, Pandian Ka Purwa, Saethri, Bishunpur and Dhamthua.

Counting will be completed in 30 rounds, supporters gathered

Counting place has been made in the Government Inter College for voting on Milkipur seat. Supporters of all political parties have gathered here. Heavy police force is also deployed. Counting will be completed in 30 rounds.

Voting percentage was high in Milkipur this time

First the postal ballots and service votes will be counted and after this the EVM votes will be counted. In the voting held on February 5 on Milkipur seat, out of a total of 3.70 lakh voters, 65.35 percent had cast their votes. In the 2022 assembly elections, 60.23 percent voting took place on this seat.

How many voters of which caste are there in Milkipur seat?

There are about 3.60 lakh voters in Milkipur seat. Out of this, 1.25 lakh Dalit voters (of which 65-70 thousand are from Pasi community), 60-65 thousand Brahmins and 50-55 thousand Yadavs are included. OBC communities like Chaurasia, Maurya, Vishwakarma and Chauhan have about 30 thousand voters, while Muslim and Thakur voters are 30 thousand and 18 thousand respectively.

Atmosphere remained heated over the murder of a Dalit girl

Amidst the by-election of Milkipur, the atmosphere had also become very hot over the murder of a Dalit girl. BJP and SP came face to face in this matter. Regarding this, a video of MP Awadhesh Prasad also went viral in which he cried during a press conference. His crying video went quite viral. Many leaders including BSP chief Mayawati, MP Chandra Shekhar Azad, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi had raised this issue.
