According to the traders' association CAIT, retail markets in India have already seen record trade of Rs 3.75 lakh crore in this festive season.
According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), there is potential for additional trade worth Rs 50,000 crore during festivals that have not yet been solemnized, such as Goverdhan Pooja, Bhaiya Dooj, Chhath Pooja, and Tulsi Vivah.
It was noteworthy that almost exclusively Indian goods went up for sale and bought this Diwali, according to the report.
According to CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal, Chinese goods lost a trade worth over Rs 1 lakh crore during the Diwali festival.
Chinese goods made up almost 70% of the Diwali festival market in years past. Nonetheless, he added, both merchants and customers have responded favorably to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's request that this Diwali be a time of local voice.
