Addressing reporters, Vijayendra emphasized that the election results clearly indicate the public's renewed desire to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country.
"We are poised to win all 28 seats from Karnataka in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections," affirmed Vijayendra, the son of former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
Referring to the elections in five states as semi-finals, the Shikaripur MLA expressed certainty about a "BJP Tsunami" sweeping the nation. He expressed confidence in Modi's return for a third term in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, likely to be held in April or May.
In a pointed remark aimed at the ruling Congress in Karnataka, Vijayendra noted, "The noteworthy aspect of this election is that people prioritize the safety of the country over enticing promises for power. The Congress has come to realize this shift."
Vijayendra accused the Congress of ascending to power in Karnataka with promises of five guarantees, contending that people are now regretting their decision.
While the BJP surged towards victory in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, the Congress appeared set to form a government in Telangana, as the counting of votes continued.
The results for the Mizoram elections are slated to be announced on Monday.
