Explosion at firecracker factory in W Bengal- 5 killed, 8 injured
A massive explosion broke at fire cracker factory in West Bengal's Duttapukur's in North 24 Parganas.
The explosion took place on Sunday morning killing 5 people and injuring 8.
The factory in which the explosion took place was an illegal fir cracker factory.
The factory was situated approximately 30 km away from West Bengal State University.
The fire reportedly broke out around 10AM today when several people were working at the factory.
Destruction at firecracker factory
As per the police report, the explosion occurred while a number of individuals were present and working at the firecracker factory. The force of the blast was so intense that it resulted in the complete destruction of the building's roof.
Tragically, the bodies of the victims were severely burned and dismembered, and they were discovered strewn across the surrounding area. This horrifying incident underscores the devastating impact of the explosion on the factory and its workers.
On information police rushed to the factory area. the injured have been taken to the nearby hospital for treatment. The police has cordoned off the entire area. Investigation about the causes are underway.
