Eyes of Ram Lalla cannot be revealed before Pran Pratistha: explains Priest Satyendra Das
On January 19, Friday, a photo of the idol of Ram Lalla surfaced. This photo had the eyes of the idol revealed. A new controversy erupted regarding the eye revelation as according to rituals of the Pran Pratistha, the eyes of the idols should not be revealed.
As soon as the idol's face was revealed, Ram Bhakts started circulating it in their groups and social media posts, as they had been waiting to get a glimpse of the divine idol which has been selected for the Pran Pratistha. On the other side, questions were raised against the priests and the temple administration on how can they allow the eyes to be revealed before the completion of the whole process..
Later it was clarified that the photo with the face revealed was taken during the sculting process. This photo is not taken after the placement of the idol in the Garbh Griha of the temple.
The Chief Priest of the Ram Mandir, Satyendra Das clarified the whole controversy by saying that the eyes of the idol cannot be revealed until the completion of the process of the Pran Pratistha.
Aacharya Satyendra Das said "The eyes of Lord Ram's idol cannot be revealed before Pran Pratishtha is completed. The idol where the eyes of Lord Ram can be seen is not the real idol. If the eyes can be seen, an investigation should be done on who revealed the eyes and how the pictures of the idol are going viral. "All the procedures will be carried out as usual. However, the eyes of Ram Lalla will not be revealed until the 'Pran Pratishtha."
On Thursday, a photo of the Ram Lalla idol was revealed which had the face and the eyes covered in a yellow cloth. The photo was taken after the placement of the Murti(idol) inside the Ram Mandir.
A team of Priests in the Ram Mandir is undertaking the necessary rituals at Ayodhya.
