Farmer’s nationwide protest

Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Morcha Punjab protested these incidents in a press conference held at the Press Club in Amritsar on Thursday and shared the outline of the upcoming movement. Farmer leaders said that on March 19, on the instructions of the Punjab government, the police chased away farmers from Shambhu and Khanauri border and detained big farmer leaders, they described this action as very unfortunate and said that this further intensified the farmer movement in the whole of Punjab.

Announcement of protest at district level

Farmer leaders announced to protest at DC offices at the district level on March 28. After this, there will be a protest at the houses of ministers of the Punjab government on March 31. Farmer leaders also said that when the farmers were chased away from Shambhu and Khanauri border, goods worth crores of rupees of farmers were present there, including valuable trolleys and other essential items, which are still missing.

Holding the Punjab government responsible for this loss, they demanded that the government compensate the farmers for the loss. Also, a large number of detained farmers should be released immediately.

Struggle will continue till the demands are met

Speaking to news agency Ranjit Singh Kalerbala, president of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, said that ever since the police took action against the farmers on the instructions of the Punjab government, the struggle has intensified. We will not end this struggle until our demands are met. We will gather in large numbers at the DC Headquarters on March 28.

Punjab government responsible for this loss

After this, we will protest together at the houses of ministers on March 31. Ignoring our demands will cost the Punjab government heavily. Some of the farmers detained on March 19 have been released, while many others are still lodged in various jails.

Punjab farmers adamant on 12 major demands

He said that the farmers' movement was completely constitutional. If this movement was unconstitutional, then why did the Punjab government compensate them? He also mentioned that when farmers were injured in the movements, the government also compensated them.

Movement will continue until all farmer leaders are released.

This is our door-to-door movement, and their struggle will continue until their 12 major demands are met. These demands include important demands like better wages for laborers and law and order. He appealed to all the citizens to support this movement and put pressure on the Punjab government to fulfill the demands of the farmers.
